Boxed Breathing — Last updated: 23 May 2026
The short version: Boxed Breathing does not collect, store, or share any personal information on our own servers. All your data stays on your device. The only data that leaves your device goes to third-party services described below, under their own privacy policies.
Boxed Breathing is an independently developed app. If you have any questions about this policy, please contact beamer.apps.ads@gmail.com.
The app stores the following locally using your device’s standard storage:
None of this data is transmitted to us or any third party. It exists only on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
With your explicit permission, the app can write Mindfulness sessions to Apple Health after you complete a breathing session. This records the session start time, end time, and duration.
If you set breathing reminders, the app schedules local notifications on your device. These are processed entirely on-device. No notification data is sent to us or any external server.
The free version of the app displays banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data to serve personalised or non-personalised ads, including:
This data is collected and processed by Google under Google’s Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time in your device settings:
Removing ads: You can purchase the one-time Remove Ads upgrade inside the app. Once purchased, no advertising SDK activity takes place during your sessions.
If you purchase the Remove Ads upgrade, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple or Google. We receive only a notification that a purchase was made — we do not receive your payment details, Apple ID, Google account, or any billing information. Purchases are governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy or Google’s Privacy Policy.
Boxed Breathing is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the UK and EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Under UK GDPR and the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you have rights including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data held about you. Because we do not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to provide, correct, or delete. Any data held by third-party services (Google, Apple) is subject to their own policies and your rights can be exercised directly with them.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
